Tucked into a lively stretch of Minneapolis, this coffee house offers a cozy, somewhat eclectic spot where locals linger over well-crafted espresso drinks like macchiatos, breves, and Thai coffee. The atmosphere blends bohemian grunge with a homey, lived-in feel — a little worn but in a way that invites you to settle in rather than rush out.
People often come here for more than just a quick caffeine fix. The menu stretches beyond coffee to include interesting sodas, chai, and a solid selection of teas, alongside rich desserts that draw a mix of college students, solo workers, and groups looking for casual comfort. There’s a quiet hum of laptop typing paired with conversations, enhanced by free Wi-Fi and accessible seating options.
The space is noted for its lack of table service and the absence of delivery, which keeps the focus on onsite experience—whether you're grabbing a quick bite or settling in for a late-night study session. Outdoor seating welcomes those who like a little sun alongside their drink, while the bar area offers a laid-back vibe without the pressure of alcohol-centered socializing.
Visitors can expect a wheelchair-accessible entrance and parking, and it’s a friendly space that embraces families, the LGBTQ+ community, and even well-behaved dogs. There’s a sense of an open community here, although some practical quirks—like limited restroom access—are part of the experience. Overall, it’s a spot for those who appreciate an offbeat, calming environment with good coffee and a touch of local character.

"Good food Good coffee Nice service Good people"
5 I love this coffee shop and always stop there when I’m in the neighborhood. The best latte, imho, in the twin cities. The sun shines over the few outdoor seats and in the front door of this dark, comforting space. Dated, dusty decor- in all the best ways!
5 Perfect late night study spot. Eclectic and homey vibe with lots of working space. I am always excited to visit. Some reviews complain about elements that I believe give Cafetto its unique charm. I also love the coffee!! It’s bit toasty in there so dress accordingly!
4 This used to be one of my favorite hangouts, and it's still one of the few coffeeshops where you can buy a cheap drink and sit down in a comfy chair for a few hours. That being said... I feel like they've really compromised on their values of being an open community space by adding locks to the bathrooms-- bathrooms that are only accessible via a rickety staircase even to paying customers.
5 During my recent visit to Minneapolis, I had the pleasure of stopping by Caffetto Coffee House. The ambiance was nothing short of beautiful. The bohemian-grunge vibe of the place made me feel instantly comfortable, and it was evident that this was a space where people could gather without the pressure of alcohol consumption. The staff was notably friendly and knowledgeable about their offerings. Their chai was delightful, and the espresso was top-notch. I truly appreciate the late-night hours they offer, making it a perfect spot for night owls like me. Overall, my experience at Caffetto was memorable, and I genuinely liked it. If you're in Minneapolis, I highly recommend giving this place a visit!
5 My date introduced me to this place. I love the Hot Chocolate and the Dirty Chai Tea. I had the chocolate cake as well, and it was rich and delicious! The jewelry is chic and affordable. I bought a beautiful pair of star earrings today. I love supporting local! The service was good. Nothing too exceptional. The drinks were made in a timely manner. And the barista was nice. I love the dichotomy between the upstairs and downstairs area of Caffetto! The downstairs portion is my favorite! I love the graffiti and pinball machines! It's very aesthetically pleasing, and it makes for a fun place for a date!
4 I don’t even know where to begin — this little café has genuinely restored my faith in the magic of small, independent places. From the moment you step inside, you're wrapped in warmth: the soft glow of fairy lights, the smell of freshly ground coffee dancing with the scent of warm pastries straight from the oven, and the gentle hum of jazz that feels like a hug from an old friend. But it’s not just the atmosphere. The baristas treat every cup like a work of art — you can taste the care, the precision, the love. I had their signature honey-lavender latte today, and I swear it tasted like sunshine and calm in liquid form. The avocado toast? Perfectly ripe, generously portioned, served with a side of kindness from the staff who remembered my name after just one visit.
5 Nice to see this place is still open. They always had great coffee and welcoming "vibes". This also happened to be the place where I first found out about the World Trade Center on 9/11/2001. It's safe to say that this establishment is permanently etched into my memory.
5 Dropped in to Caffetto Cafe for a coffee and a quick sailor fude fountain pen sketch. Snow, ice and heavy metal music - oddly soothing. The Caffeto on 24th St just west of Lyndale, it's a funky place know for dirty chai and chocolate cake, filled with an eclectic collection of everything, a basement of arcade machines, open late and full of highly sketchable interesting people. Highly recommend for sketchers urban.
Customers love their lattes, hot chocolate, dirty chai tea, and rich chocolate cake.
